Aside from the expansive mountains allowing endless snowboarding possibilities, Denver and the greater area is also a skateboarders paradise, offering tons of public parks and limitless street spots that will keep even the most ambitious of skateboarders content. Not sure where to begin? No worries, the Dew Tour has got you covered. Heres a sampling of some of the best parks in the area for all ability levels, so you can spend your time ripping instead of looking for a decent place to skate.
Denver Skatepark
Located at 2205 19th St., the concrete park offers something for everyone with two separate sections, street and bowl, and even a picnic area to chill out at in between sessions. The bowls are all different sizes, including a 12-footer complete with a ladder in case you get into trouble. The street course is a mix of hips, ledges, pyramids, stairs and quarterpipes and is truly a gem in the city of Denver. Open year round, the park features lights for twilight skate missions and does not require pads or helmets.

Well Ive been riding for about 4 years and Ive been to many different parks and This park just seems the best to me because there is a wide varity of things here for kids to have some fun,” he said. “ We think this is a very good park all the kids seemed to have alot of fun here!
Golden Heights Park
A good beginner park located at West 2nd Place and Quaker in Golden, the park features a quarterpipe, funbox, arc rail, twin flybox with bank and handrails and also a concrete bank to practice on. The park is open daily from 5 am to 10 pm and pads and helmet are required.
Boulder Skate Park
Located in nearby Boulder on 30th Street, this concrete park is truly a bowlriders paradise with approximately 16,000 square feet of concrete featuring a huge clover bowl, a combi with spine, and tons of banks, extensions, ledges and rails that will keep you cruising all day long. The park is open everyday from dawn to dusk and pads and helmets are not required.
Memorial Skateboard Park
Just north of Denver in Memorial Park in Arvada is Memorial Skateboard Park, the place to go if skating mini ramp is your thing. With 6 and 4 halfpipes, a pyramid box, ollie box, 80x 100 concrete slab and curved concrete benches, the park will keep your flow going and help you get your bag of tricks dialed. Open everyday from 9 am to sunset, the park does not require pads or helmets and was built by Skateparks International.
